Father’s Day on Facebook by johnbrucecairns

What a load of sentimental twaddle on father’s day,

When every man knows it’s an inferior rôle to play,

Or should, but if you’re in a self-delusive …way,

You won’t hear a squeak out of me;

Mum’s the word, not god, you’ll pray,

At dying, to ward death off, “Mum,” you’ll say.

Dialogue on Twitter @JohnnyTaggart

Bob has colitis. “I’m ill all the time!” “It’s not a competition.” “What’s the prize?” “Death. C’mon, Diana, be gracious, let Bob win.”
